About the Chief Excavating Officer
My experience includes 14+ years of:
- Running well attended, well organized, and highly successful estate sales.
- Selling a broad range of items on eBay, craigslist, and other sites.
- Helping family members through the ordeal of closing a deceased loved one’s household.
- Teaching people with cluttering/hoarding issues to evaluate what they own and why, so they can make more satisfying decisions about what to keep.
- Researching the history and value of a wide variety of vintage and obscure items (including c. 1900 long johns, and a pair of 1950s aluminum skis!).
I love vintage items from the ’30s through the ’60s, including: travel souvenirs; tablecloths & kitchen towels; women’s hats, gloves, & handkerchiefs; late 19th/early 20th century hand painted porcelain; postcards; and decorative pottery. I thoroughly enjoy researching items and learning about their history.
